The Vision Behind Editions
The concept and idea behind Editions Art Space belongs to Maria Ovsyannikova, a fine art photographer with a deep passion for visual storytelling. Driven by her own experiences, Maria established the gallery to provide a platform for fellow photographers and artists. Her goal is to uplift and support the creative community by displaying and exhibiting their work, giving emerging talents the recognition they deserve.
Editions Art Space Major Events
In the last few months of 2024 Editions Art Space proudly hosted a few major events that celebrated creativity and provided a platform for talent.
Our first major exhibition, “Through the Lens onto Paper,” featured the works of 40 artists, displaying 90 captivating artworks. The event was a milestone for many, as around 15 photographers showcased their work publicly for the first time.
Our second major event, “Behind the Scenes: Cast and Crew,” was a photography exhibition dedicated to the hidden heroes of cinema. Spanning the years 2009 to 2023, the exhibition showcased striking behind-the-scenes photographs that captured the magic of filmmaking.
This collaborative effort included Doha Film Institute, students from Virginia Commonwealth University, who designed the exhibition space under the leadership of Prof. Reem Al Thani and Maria Ovsyannikova as exhibition curator. All the images were printed at Editions Art Space, highlighting our commitment to quality. Together, we created a compelling tribute to the art of filmmaking and its unsung contributors.
